Our Story
There was a time when my husband and I found ourselves in a position that millions of American families experience every year.
Like many people, we didn't wake up one day buried in debt.
It happened gradually.
Life happened.
Unexpected expenses. Family responsibilities. Bills that seemed manageable at first but slowly became more difficult to keep up with. Before long, we found ourselves realizing that one more emergency could push us beyond what we could comfortably manage.
Eventually, some of our accounts fell behind.
Like so many others, we started searching for answers. We wanted to understand what our options were, what would happen next, and how to make the best decision for our family.
Instead, we found ourselves overwhelmed. Everywhere we looked, someone was trying to sell us something. Every company claimed their solution was the best solution. Information was often incomplete, confusing, or focused on convincing us to choose one path rather than helping us understand all of our options.
We weren't looking for a sales pitch. We were looking for education.
We wanted one place that simply explained everything in plain English. A place that answered questions honestly. A place that helped people understand their options before making one of the biggest financial decisions of their lives.
When we couldn't find that resource, we decided to build it ourselves.
That's how Relief Guardian began.
Today, Relief Guardian exists to help people better understand debt, learn how the process works, compare available options, and make informed decisions with confidence. We believe everyone deserves access to clear, balanced, educational information before making an important financial decision.
