We do not give credit repair companies a star rating. A score cannot tell you what a company charges, what it actually does for you, or how it treats the people who complain about it. So this page shows those details instead.

ReliefGuardian may receive compensation if you use certain links on this page. Compensation does not determine our findings or conclusions. We research and publish our findings first. Whether an affiliate relationship exists is decided separately, afterward.

Company Overview

Credit Saint has been in business since 2007, working out of Saddle Brook, New Jersey. It's a full-service credit repair company, meaning you hand off the work of disputing errors on your credit report to a team, rather than doing it yourself. The company says it's helped more than 250,000 clients so far.

If you're weighing whether to hire any credit repair company at all versus disputing errors yourself, that's worth reading first. Credit Saint disputes the same categories of things you're already allowed to dispute for free: late payments, charge-offs, collections, judgments, liens, repossessions, foreclosures, and bankruptcies that are inaccurate, outdated, or can't be verified.

One thing worth knowing up front: Credit Saint doesn't serve every state. Its own terms of service name South Carolina as excluded. Third-party review sites list more exclusions, commonly Kansas, Maine, Mississippi, Oregon, and Washington, D.C., but we could not confirm those against the company's own pages. Ask directly whether Credit Saint serves your state before you pay anything.

How It Works

You start with a free consultation where Credit Saint pulls your credit reports and walks through what's on them. From there, the company assigns you a team that handles the actual dispute work: sending challenges to the credit bureaus and, depending on your plan, to your creditors directly. You get a credit score tracker so you can watch what's changing, and the company checks back in roughly every 45 days as bureaus respond to disputes.

You're not writing letters yourself here. That's the whole trade you're making: paying someone else to handle a process you could otherwise do on your own.

Services and Plans

Credit Saint offers three plans. They differ mainly in how many things get disputed at once and what extra services are bundled in.

Credit Polish — the starting plan. Disputes a handful of items per cycle across all three bureaus, plus a free score tracker.

Credit Remodel — a step up. More disputes per cycle, plus removal of credit inquiries and an Experian score tracker.

Clean Slate — the top plan. Unlimited disputes per cycle, plus access to Credit Saint's loan-readiness program for people preparing to apply for a mortgage or other financing.

All three plans include a 90-day money-back guarantee, which we break down further below.

Pricing and True Cost

Here's what each plan actually costs, including the one-time setup fee most people don't factor into their first-month math:

PlanMonthly FeeSetup FeeFirst Month6 Months12 Months
Credit Polish$79.99$99$178.99$578.94$1,058.88
Credit Remodel$109.99$99$208.99$758.94$1,418.88
Clean Slate$139.99$195$334.99$1,014.94$1,874.88

A few things worth knowing about how the billing actually works, not just the sticker price:

  • The setup fee is charged once, up front, before any dispute work happens.
  • After that, you're billed monthly for as long as you stay enrolled — there's no fixed end date built into the price.
  • The 90-day money-back guarantee only covers a full refund if you cancel within that window and aren't satisfied. Read the guarantee terms carefully. Some customers have told us it was harder to actually get the refund processed than the marketing suggested.

Credit Reports and Monitoring

Credit Saint works with all three bureaus — Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion — and includes a one-bureau credit report and score as part of your plan. The higher tiers add an Experian score tracker so you can watch changes over time. This isn't full three-bureau monitoring the way a dedicated monitoring service would offer it; it's built around tracking your dispute progress, not general credit surveillance.

Dispute Process

Credit Saint's process follows the standard shape for this industry: a credit specialist reviews your reports, identifies items to challenge, and sends disputes to the bureaus (and, on higher plans, directly to creditors). Some reviewers describe the letters as customized to the account rather than generic templates, though we haven't independently verified the letters themselves.

One pattern worth flagging honestly: a recurring complaint theme across review platforms is that some customers felt the dispute letters were fairly standard and got rejected by the bureaus without much follow-up explanation. That's not unique to Credit Saint. It's a fair question to ask any company you're considering: what happens when a bureau doesn't budge on the first round?

Compliance and Transparency

As of our research, we found no FTC, CFPB, or state enforcement actions on record against Credit Saint. That's genuinely worth noting, since several other companies in this space carry real regulatory history. Credit Saint is BBB accredited, and its billing structure (a setup fee followed by ongoing monthly billing, rather than payment collected before any work is done) is consistent with what the Credit Repair Organizations Act requires.

A reminder that applies to every company in this category, not just Credit Saint: no credit repair company, by law, can guarantee a specific score increase or promise to remove accurate, current information from your report. If a company promises that, that's a red flag regardless of who they are.

Reputation

Credit Saint's ratings vary noticeably depending on where you look. ConsumerAffairs named it a top pick in its 2026 rankings, evaluated against thousands of verified reviews. Its BBB rating sits in the A-to-A- range. Trustpilot scores have ranged from the high 3s to high 4s depending on when you check. That spread is worth knowing about going in: you'll find very different pictures on different platforms, and no single number tells the whole story.

Common Complaints

Across the platforms we reviewed, a few themes came up more than once:

  • Charges the customer didn't feel were clearly disclosed up front.
  • Difficulty getting the 90-day refund actually processed, even when the customer believed they qualified.
  • Feeling like no meaningful progress happened despite months of payments.

None of these are unique to Credit Saint. They're common enough across the industry that we'd encourage anyone considering any credit repair company to ask directly, before signing anything, exactly how the refund process works and what proof of dispute activity you'll receive along the way.

Cancellation and Refunds

You can cancel at any time; Credit Saint doesn't lock you into a long-term contract. If you're within the 90-day window and unsatisfied, you're eligible for the money-back guarantee — but get the specific terms in writing before you sign up, including what counts as "satisfied" and how long a refund actually takes to process once requested.

Strengths and Trade-Offs

Where it holds up: No enforcement action history. A 90-day guarantee that at least gives you an exit window. Multiple plan tiers, so you're not forced into the most expensive option if your situation is fairly simple. A long track record — nearly two decades in business.

Where to go in with eyes open: The setup fee is charged before any work happens, and it's not small on the top-tier plan. The monthly cost adds up fast if your case takes a while to resolve, since there's no built-in end date. And the refund process has drawn real complaints about being harder than expected.

Who Might Consider This

Credit Saint could be a reasonable fit if you have several negative items across your credit reports, you'd rather not manage the dispute process yourself, and you want a company with a clean regulatory history and a defined (if imperfect) refund window.

Who Probably Doesn't Need This

You may not need to pay Credit Saint, or any credit repair company, if:

  • You're mainly trying to remove information that's accurate, just unflattering. No company can legally do that, and paying for the attempt won't change the outcome.
  • Your credit problem is really about utilization or missed payments going forward, not errors on your report. Credit repair companies dispute report errors. They don't fix ongoing habits.
  • You're comfortable spending a few evenings writing your own dispute letters. You have the same legal right to dispute inaccurate information yourself, for free, that Credit Saint has on your behalf. See our guide on disputing credit report errors yourself if you want to try that route first.

Alternatives

If you're not sure Credit Saint is the right fit, a few directions worth considering depending on what's actually going on with your credit:

  • DIY disputes — free, more hands-on, works well for a small number of clear errors.
  • A different full-service credit repair company — worth comparing pricing structure and guarantee terms directly, since they vary more than the marketing suggests.
  • Nonprofit credit counseling — a better starting point if the real issue is debt load rather than report errors.
  • Our guide to what credit repair actually is walks through how to tell which situation you're in.

Our Research Methodology

ReliefGuardian's credit repair coverage is a research effort, not a ranking. We don't score companies against each other on a single scale, and we don't publish a "best of" list in this category. Instead, we research each company against the same published checklist — pricing, true cost, compliance history, dispute methodology, reputation across multiple platforms, cancellation and refund terms — and tell you plainly what we found, including where the picture is mixed.

Every company is evaluated using the same methodology, whether or not ReliefGuardian has an affiliate relationship with them. That relationship, where one exists, is disclosed at the top of this page and never factors into our findings.

Information on this page reflects our research as of the "Last Verified" date above. Pricing, availability, and company policies change. Whenever possible, we link directly to the original source, including the company's own site, so you can confirm current details yourself before making a decision.

Your rights under federal law (CROA)

Every company that charges money to improve your credit has to follow a federal law called the Credit Repair Organizations Act. It was written because so many of these companies took money up front and never did the work. Here is what the law gives you, no matter which company you are looking at.

  • No payment before the work is done. A company cannot charge you until it has actually delivered the service it promised. If someone asks for a fee before anything has happened, that is against the law.
  • A written contract before you start. You must get a written agreement that lists what the company will do, what it costs in total, and how long it expects to take.
  • A written statement of your rights. The company has to hand you a separate disclosure explaining that you can fix your own credit for free and that you have the right to dispute items yourself.
  • Three days to change your mind. You can cancel the contract within three business days of signing, for any reason, and owe nothing.
  • No false promises. No one can promise a specific score increase, promise to remove accurate information, or tell you to make a new identity or use a different taxpayer number. Those are all illegal.
  • You can sue. If a company breaks these rules, the contract can be void and you can take the company to court to get your money back.

Accurate negative information cannot be removed by anyone. It falls off on its own schedule. You can also dispute errors yourself, for free, directly with each credit bureau. If a company breaks the rules above, you can report it to the Federal Trade Commission and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau.
